Gateway – making a real difference
Gateway has been specifically designed to deliver services that will improve people’s health and wellbeing.
Gateway provides opportunities for vulnerable and homeless people in our community to develop their skills and employability, and get the support they need to move on to permanent accommodation.
We take a person-centred and solution-focused approach to support residents to build on their strengths, develop independent living skills, and build personal resilience to support their health, wellbeing and future independence.
Our services can be accessed through District Councils across Lancashire by referral agencies.
All services are accessible to the most vulnerable people in our community who are ready to make positive changes to improve their lives, but who are unable to find the support they need elsewhere due to their complex high level needs, such as:
- Physical health
- Mental health
- Offending behaviour
- Drug and alcohol use.
Gateway is a new, state of the art wellbeing project in Burnley that will provide support and training to homeless and vulnerable people.
We have 30 rooms, including four direct access, and we provide a stable and safe setting, with fully furnished and en-suite rooms.
Each offers a settled environment for residents to make positive changes, plan for their future and improve their way of life. The living environment is dynamic, vibrant and engaging, giving residents the motivation they need to enable change.
Residents will be able to access a range of essential services and intensive support provided by our highly skilled, positive and non-judgemental staff, who are on site 24 hours a day.
The service is person-centred and solution-focused, building resilience and developing strengths.
We’re working in collaboration as part of Syncora – a unique service integrator; harnessing the widest expertise in healthcare, support, and employability to offer a full end-to-end service for all our residents.
Together, we’re helping thousands of people and families with the greatest need to live life to the fullest.
